Can we trot or canter on the ride?
Our terrain is very varied on the rides therefore we do not have ample space to pick up the pace. Our rides cater to all experience levels and must go at the pace of the least experienced rider. If the whole ride is experienced, there may be an opportunity to trot or canter, however, this will be at the discretion of management and/or guides.
What is the minimum age?
Riders must be aged 6 years or over. Riders under 10 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian on the ride.
What size groups do you cater for?
We have a limit of 5 people per trail ride. If you'd like to enquire about a trail ride for 6+ people, please email us
What is the maximum weight?
For the safety of our riders and the health of our horses, we have a safety weight restriction. Our maximum weight restriction for riders is 95kg. * We cannot provide refunds if riders arrive for their booking and are over our maximum weight limit.
What are your riding times and days?
Our trail rides depart at 9:30am, 12pm & 2:30pm on Tuesday through to Sunday.
How do I postpone or cancel a booking?
Minimum 24 hours’ notice is required if you are unable to attend your booking. Your ride can be rescheduled to another day within 12 months of your original booking, should sufficient warning be given (minimum 24-hours). In the event that your ride is cancelled by SREG due to unforeseen circumstances, your ride may either be rescheduled to another day or refunded.
Do you ride in all weather?
We expect to ride in most conditions and appropriate clothing should be worn. Unless conditions become too slippery and unsafe, your ride will continue in wet weather. The ride direction (Ocean vs Gorge) may be changed at the discretion of management for safety. Cancellation of rides will be at the discretion of management and you will be contacted to rearrange your ride or to organise a refund.
I have never ridden a horse before?
All riders will be matched with a horse to cater for experience and confidence levels. You will participate in a short riding lesson in an enclosed arena before setting off on your ride.
What if I or my child decides to not ride or stop half way through?
We are unable to provide refunds if you or your child chooses not to ride or continue to ride.
